Other Indonesian importer may not get their products directly from the manufacterers as we do but I'm assuming it is similar. For each product, whether it be albums/journals, storage benches, trays, lamps, hawaiian shirts, sarongs, or any of our handmade products from Indonesia, small villages in a remote areas in Bali, Indonesia handmake these products and sell them to us (importer) so that the money that is made helps support their living, family, and expenses. We sometimes have to travel 2-3 hours to get to these remote areas because of the roads (dirt, single lane, very hilly, etc. The villages depend on us (importers and consumers) to purchase these products to help them survive, be able to help raise their children enabling them to go to school and hope that they have better lives. The areas are very poor but the poeple are very happy and content with what they have taking nothing for granted. They don't need more or less to survive. What is Worldstock? The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities.
