They primarily focus on tabletop items, but also handcraft vases and other bamboo items. This trade has been passed down in the family for several generations. Creating bamboo art allows these artisans to earn a living through creative expression, rather than traditional farming. Le Anh Phi?s children are learning the process and will take over the business when she is ready to pass it on. Ms. Phi has been recognized by the Vietnam Export Council for providing highest quality bamboo while still taking care of her artisans and ensuring they enjoy a better standard of living.
