The piece stands 72 inches tall x 12 inches wide and comes in your choice of black, rosewood, honey, or natural wooden frames. Rice paper is made by cutting the pith of a large herb (Fatsia papyrifera, related to the ginseng) into one roll or sheet, which is flattened out under pressure; then outlines of lamps are made with spruce wood and the rice paper is glued to the wood. China is one of the largest manufacturers of rice paper goods.
